suffice it to say that my shower is tomorrow and there has been a TON of drama surrounding it between some of my family. i'm not involved, but its making me so sad that it's all surrounding my baby shower.on top of that, only 20 things out of like 120 have been bought off my registry and we invited about 50 people and most of hte things are just little onesies and stuff.  i'm not trying to be greedy at all, that's not it, it's just that i feel sad that there's been all this negativity and now people don't even want to participate in buying gifts off the registry..  idk. maybe i sound really spoiled.  sorry, i'm just bummed and kind of dreading tomorrow.

    Mine was today... some drama, but it wasn't too bad. I recommend taking noticew of the nice things, and trying to ignore the drama and the bad... it will mean having a mnuch better time.

    And I don't know why I bothered to register (hell I am a guilty party that rarely shops off registries)... we had 7 items purchased. We got lots of nice things, and now I can use my registry as a shopping list for the things I still need.

    Hopefully you will get a wide variety of stuff and have a good time.

    The drama part totally stinks :( Im sorry your shower is shadowed by that. I don't think it will make you feel better but just know that it is VERY common for people to not purchase off a baby registry. Guests are just distracted too much by the cute itty bitty baby clothes out there. I was surprised at how few items were actually purchased off my registry at my shower but then I just reminded myself that they were gifts and a registry is just a request and not a requirement. I actually had to return a lot of clothes because I just received way too many outfits for the early months. Those store credit gift cards will help me purchase some of the items I can't live without off of my registry. Tomorrow is your day to be showered. As hard as it may be, ignore the drama and enjoy the thoughtfulness and love people will be showering on you and your baby. Have fun!

     This exactly! We got enough baby clothes for 4 LO's to wear for the first 3 months. I'm keeping the ones I really love and the rest are going back so that we can get other things, like crib sheets.
