Sizing question if your DC is in 50 %tile for weight...

Both my boys were much bigger, so I started buying some clothes for summer for DD in 12mo (mostly carter's stuff so far). Now I am thinking that they might not fit her as she is in 0-3 still and 3-6 is giant on her.  If your DC is in the 50% or around there-what size are they wearing?  I am thinking maybe I should exchange for the 9 mo Carters.

    At 6 months, DD was 48th for weight... but that was 2 months ago so I'm sure it could be different... but she wears anything frm 6 months- 12 months and the  6 months are getting tight. I think she'll likely be wearing 9-18 months in Summer...

    My daughter is 50% for weight and height. She wears 6 month or 6-9 month clothing, depending on the brand. She will probably be in 9-12 or 12 month clothes by the summer.

    I guess I should add that I am asking on this board b/c she will be 6-9 months old in the summer months.

    DD is in the 25 - 50th for weight and fits into 6 - 9 months right now.  She has always fit into the same age and size (ex: 0 - 3 months size when she was 0 - 3 months)

    DS is 6.5 months old, he is 50% for weight 75% for height.  He has pretty much been the same percentiles since day one.  He is currently still fitting in Carters 3-6 months and just starting to go into Carters 6-9 months.  He does still fit in some 0-3 onsies from carters though!

    DS is 8 months old and has been around 40-50% since birth.  He is just starting to wear 6-9 month clothing - I think it will be another 4-6 weeks before he fits the 9 month stuff from Carters.  I'm hoping he gets there before the weather warms up in GA, because he got some very cute 9 month outfits for Christmas!

    My DS was in the 50% at his 6 month check up and is still in a 3-6 month size. He can wear some 6-9 but they're really loose on him.

    DD wears 3-6 month size clothing. She's been wearing that size in tops for some time, but only the past few weeks in that size bottoms.  She's been pretty much true to size since day one.

    6-9 month clothing looks HUGE!

    DD is 50% for weight but 90% for height.  She wears a lot of 6-9 and 9 months--most of her clothing is this size.  Some pants are 12 months due to length and a couple of her hoodies/jackets are 12 months.

    Don't count on her staying at 50% though--P started at a little less than 50% at bith, was consistently 75% at 2 and 4 months, then dropped back to 50% at her 6 month checkup.

    This is the same as my DD.  50% weight and 90% height.  She was in the 75% at 1 month and dropped to 50% at 2 mo.

    My DD has been at exactly 50% for weight and length at her last two appointment and right now she fits into some of her NB items even!! But most comfortable her 3-6 months and her 6months exactly outfits but anything I put on her that is 6-9 months has quite a bit of growing room. In my opinion Carters is the items in which she only fits 3-6 months or 6 months exactly (they seem a bit more accurate). You may be better off exchanging them but then again LO wears outfits that are a bit too big but the second its too tight we put it away.
