So I am spending this afternoon at the salon (yay) to get my hair colored and cut. But I am starting to get anxious about the cut. See, usually I just splurge on the color, but then go someplace cheap for the cut, because my hair is very long and ridiculously straight. I just get about 3 inches off the bottom, maybe some framing in the front, and done. My hair on a decent day looks like this:

About a week ago, I started to crave a change. My hair has looked like this for at least the last 7 years. My SIL showed me this picture and said she thought it would look adorable on me, and I was all about it (a long "bob" with it longer in the front than in the back):
But now I am second guessing. First, it is so short. I don't think I could go that short. Not only am I not really ready for it, but DH has his own relationship to my hair. And any time I mention cutting it, he has a panic attack. LOL! He loves, loves, loves it long. and I love that he loves it. But what I love about the picture (and yes, I realize it isn't THAT much different - other than the length, but with stick straight hair, I don't have many options) is that it just has more structure. I feel like my long hair is always all over the place.
:::sigh::: So thoughts? Would you stick with what works and makes everyone happy? Go for a change? You think it might be possible to get that same angled bob type look but not so short? help... I suck at girly decisions like this.
Re: hair help... please? (PIP)

First of all, how cute are you???
Secondly, you look great with long hair, but I think that cut would look really good on you with your face shape. If you have straight hair, it seems like that cut would give you a lot of style with minimal effort. I'd do it!

I know I'm a little late here in my reply, but I hope you go for it. The wonderful thing about hair, is that if you don't like it, it will grow back. As for as worrying about what everyone else likes, DON'T. Your hair is yours to do what you want with. It is nice that you are concerened about your hubby, but if he doesn't like that new cut on you I will declare him crazy.
Hope you have a great day!
Because we're fancy like that.
I would go for it. My DH is the same way with my hair...but my hair is wavy and I don't have much time to style it. So I end up with it in a pony tail almost all the time. Last time I was getting my hair cut, the day before my DH got all panicky and tried to tell me not to. I went, got 5 inches off, and when my DH came home from work, he didn't even notice.
So the moral of my story is go for it! You could not go as short as Gwenyth and it would still be a change!

I think you should do it. For me the 2nd picture is long, though, my hair won't grow much past my shoulders!
But I think the picture of Gwyneth looks older and more sophisticated... long straight hair is a very "young" look.
You are so lucky to have straight blond hair!
I say go for it! You and Gwynneth have the same face shape and since your hair is stick straight it would be low maintenance. It will grow back if you don't like it.
If you decide to do it, pip!
