1. Realistically?
2. Skies the limit (anything goes)/unrealistically?
I think if I could go back, I would just spend the entire day pampering myself - massage, pedicure, hair cut & color, eating out at my favorite restaurant etc. Now that DD is here I realize how difficult it is to fit in time for me. I also know now that I should have appreciated the ability to eat out without a fussy infant a lot more pre-DD!

1) Realistically, I should have finished the paper I was working on. I took two weeks off classes and I spent the time trying to write that thing on zero sleep!
2) Anything goes? I could have taken my ex for a one way trip into the desert....

1. Day trip to shop, eat out and then a fun concert that night, all with good friends. We did that last April and it was so.much.fun! Doesn't happen often enough!
2. I kinda like that ex and the one way trip to the desert a pp mentioned....
1. I would totally pamper myself. Long hot shower. Hair cut and style. Pedicure. Sitting in the quiet. Reading whenever I felt like it. Working on projects (oh, to be able to do that without a baby in the middle!). Then, a long nap in the afternoon, and a nice date night with my husband.
2. I can't think of anything nicer than just relaxing quietly and doing whatever I felt like all day. So, I can't think of anything unrealistic.

1) If I would have known I would be in labor for so long in terrible pain and without food, I would have gotten a massage and eaten as much as I could.
2) Unrealistically, been laying on the beach. I'll never get the chance to do it again without kids, at least not for years.

1. Sleep in, take a long hot shower, read, watch tv, get all dolled up, go out to eat at a fancy restaurant, party until 2am!
Well, the day before I was induced was Christmas Day and I can't think of how I would change it except to maybe get some more sleep and read an entire novel in bed!
I would spend a day just having beauty services done (nails, hair, etc) and eating out at restaurants breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Dh and no kids. And I'd nap, lay around reading on the sofa, and watch trashy shows that I can't have on now with the kids (Maury, Despearte Housewives, etc). It would be a great day!
I just saw that there was supposed to be a realistic answer and an unrealistic one. I don't think realistically there was anything I should have done different. I was already out of work on partial bedrest so I was pretty well rested, everything was done to prepare for her arrival, and I knew I was going to be induced in the coming days so it wasn't a surprise when the hospital called and said to come over. I was very hungry that day with the long labor though so maybe i would have eaten a really big breakfast before checking in.
I have been a mom for so long (17 years) that I honestly don't remember what it feels like not to be someone's mother. But if I had to pick something...
Realistically: Sleep in, lay in bed and read, lunch with a friend, some shopping, dinner and a movie, stay up late and read some more.
Unrealistically: Probably a hot air balloon ride. Although, that's not all that unrealistic because it's something that I plan to do before I die. It was the first and only thing that came to mind though.
I sort of was blessed on this one, because I was in the hospital on bedrest and I did know 24 hours before my c-section. Looking back, I think I had a pretty good day considering. I had GD, and threw that out the window. I had 'naughty' food delivered in to me at the hospital, I napped and read all day, and was waited on hand and foot by the nurses. DH surprised me in the evening by getting me a neck and shoulder massage, as well as a manicure (they had a service at the hospital). I still felt crummy, but I knew there was an end to it, so I made the best of my last minutes and actually enjoyed it.
Now, if I could have done anything I wanted to, I would have flown off to Bali with DH and stayed in one of those huts on the water. We would have stayed in bed all day and have lots of yummy food and drinks.

I would do the same exact thing. I relaxed, got a pedicure, ate takeout and went to sleep.
Unrealistically, I would jet off to Paris or London and back! LOL!

Great question!
1. Sleep in until noon. Go shopping at the mall. Go out to dinner with my husband and than go see a movie.
2. I would be swimming and laying out in Hawaii.
