FU from seeing BFPB last night (preg person mentioned)

So, she arrived rubbing her belly and I knew it was going to be a rough night. She started talking about how big she is already and can't believe she already has to wear maternity clothes. She complained about how much she is eating and how she is uncomfortable already. I am totally walking away each time she starts this crap. I avoid eye contact and don't engage in any forms of communication until everyone left the party but the four of us (our DH's are BFF's). So then she proceeds to say they are naming the baby after my DH if it's a boy and asks me "Do you have any names picked out?" UGGGGGGGHHHHH! I politely said, "Before we LOST our baby we did talk about names, but haven't talked about it because it is too painful for us." She shut up and left. Still no acknowledgement of our loss.

If my DH wasn't such good friends with her DH I would have written her out of my life last night. Unfortunately I can't do that. Seriously though, a little "cooth" (as my grandfather would say) goes a long way!

Thanks for the support last night! I apparently needed it and didn't know it!

Wow, what a night. And, what a b!tch. I'm really sorry you had to deal with all of that - but I am so glad that you said what you did say to her. We were invited to have dinner with DH's friend & his pg wife this weekend - but this is exactly why I keep turning down these invitations.

So sorry you had to deal with her. I can't believe she never acknowledged your loss. That is NOT a real friend. And then kept rubbing her pregnancy in your face....grrrr! ((hugs))
