am i paraniod? my crib is on the lowest setting yet LO could definitely climb out...she hasnt but im pretty sure she could.  she is standing and is a good head length taller than the crib side.  am i losing it?  im having my uncle come to take another look at it..even tho DH tells me to relax!

  • Could you climb over a fence that was up to your neck with nothing horizontal to boost yourself from?  Until your LO can lift their leg as high as the rail, or is circus-freak strong I don't think you need to worry.

  • The nurse I talked to yesterday said her kids could climb out at 9 months, she went right to a toddler bed.  Her reasoning was at least that way they'd only fall a foot or so to the floor.  If you were really paranoid you could try that, but unless she shows signs of climbing I think you're all set.
