time for bumper? or other?

DS keeps scooting all the way up in his crib and hitting his head, which causes him to wake up from STTN and scream bloody murder. Is it time for a bumper? is their another solution?

Re: time for bumper? or other?

  • Get breathable bumper.

  • Yeah, my breathable bumper has no padding, so DS is doing the same thing. I'm thinking about putting his regular bumpers back in for a while.

I have and always have had regular bumpers in DS's crib.  DS just now started to scoot around in the crib, so I feel better knowing his head, or any other parts, won't be smashing into the wood or getting caught in the slats.  I'm perfectly content with my bumper situation.

This exactly.  I have always had the regular bumper in.  When she didn't move around a lot it wasn't a big concern to me and now that she is im confident that she would move away from it if it were a problem.  I know the breathable ones have no padding so I like the regular one.

  • We have a regular bumper in too because he does the same thing. He wedges himself in there sideways. It's not very thick but it does protect his head.
