I put "know" in brackets to say that you are an expert, not that you just know it a little. I think Moulin Rouge should be pretty amazing with the music and costumes.
I have been to see the Nutcracker many times... and I love it. I am going to take my boys when they are a little older!
I don't know Moulin Rouge, but I have liked most ballets I have seen. I love watching the dancers' bodies, and I am totally envious of what great shape they're in.

I got what you meant! Not offended. And I do, but I also know of lots of non-dancers who enjoy ballet just for the artistic experience. That sounds like it would be a fun show. Let us know what you think!

When I was a kid my mother had season tix to the Boston Ballet. We would go to the Sunday matinee and get all dressed up..We saw everything from Swan Lake, to the Nutcracker. They are some of my fondest childhood memories..
I used to be the ballet. In a children's ballet company back in middle and high school. I was Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker. And Peter in Peter and the Wolf. And I danced the Dying Swan from Swan Lake. And Dew Drop Fairy in Hansel and Gretal. And the Golden Harp/Flute in Jack and the Beanstalk.
That was before I tore my achilles.
But, all is well - it led me to become a nurse.
And now I look nothing like the graceful, thin, ballerina that I was. Thanks to nursing school stress, then IF....and now post-baby weight!
Oh well.

It's a different kind of entertainment. You can get the outline of the story in the program and since it's a popular movie you'll know quite a bit of the story as well but I think there's something very intriguing about seeing a show with no spoken words. It gives the audience the chance to fill in the blanks and kind of participate using their imagination and emotion.
I hope you like it!
Please post a review for us, K?
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
