2 in child care?

I am sitting down with my DCP to work out a payment schedule for the new year. In the past I have mention to her the possibility of a second child in her care within the next two years and she mentioned that we could work something out. I would like to work that out BEFORE we start trying, so I am thinking of approaching her with something today. I am curious what you pay for two in child care and did you get a discount for your second? If so, how much? Thanks for the help!

We go to a center (national). Since enrolling DD #2, I recieve a 10% discount on my oldest daughter's tuition. I pay about $1850/month for both girls.

I am in a center and we pay $1080/month per child. We get 10% off the second child. It sounds like you are in a in-home daycare so you may have more room for negotiating.

I think it is fine to discuss it with her now but depending on how long it takes for you to conceive, and then pregnancy, maternity leave time, etc. I would think it would be hard for her to give you a definite answer and dollar amount that she would have to stick with. I'm in a DC center and they offer 10% disc. off the 2nd kid for a total of $500/wk (approx. $2k/mo).

we have a local center and get 10% off the cheaper of the two tuitions.

We are in a center and don't get a discount but you could negotiate a percent off for the oldest one. Usually, it's 10% off of the lower payment. She may be willing to include that in your contract.

We are in HCOL, so I won't scare you with the cost of daycare for 2- we get a sibling discount of 10% off each child's tuition.

wow some of the costs are astronomical. Of course my area of SC is not HCOL. I only have one in daycare now, but our daycare offers a10% off the oldest tuition. I pay $110 weekly for my 4 yr old, and if I had a baby they would be $130.
