I've heard that there are "mommy and me" type groups for Mothers and their children to get together but I'm not aware how to find out about these. Is anyone aware of any local ones here in SA?
Also, check Moms Club International. They have chapters all over San Antonio. I joined the one that covers Downtown, Central, North Central. They are a great group of ladies with several activities every week. I know they have them in Stone Oak, Schertz, and several in the Alamo Ranch areas. Good luck
Years of trying and treatment, IVF#1 brought us
our darling C!
Looking at the age of your son, he's the perfect age for the Mommy and Me yoga class at Destination Maternity. The class is geared towards nonmobile babies. When I went 6 months ago the classes were free and I believe they still are.
I'm actually doing stroller strides which meets at various parks during the week. Your baby rides in the stroller while you work out. They also have playdates, a book club and Mom's night out events. I've meet some really nice women at the class and it's nice to get out and excercise. It does cost $55 a month and there's a registration fee but I really enjoy it.
Also if you're looking to meet other moms many of the libraries have baby time once a week which are a lot of fun. Good luck on finding something.
Re: Mom Groups
I have heard a lot of great things about meetup.com. Lots of mommy and me!
Also, Gymboree and Little Gym... there are some mommy and me music classes... and the library has a baby story time that is fun (and free:)
You can look at meet up for some moms groups.
