Stay at Home Moms

My last day of work was today!

I work at a daycare (and have for the last two years) in the toddler room. Every day between myself and another staff member we take care of 14 one and a half- three year olds. It's a really physically exhausting job, although I love the kids.

Today was my last day! I now have, hopefully, a couple weeks to get the house in order and finish some tasks I have and then I will officially be a stay-at-home-mom! It's not something I ever imagined I would choose when I was younger but I'm very excited for it now :)

  • My last day of work with my 1st, I was 36wks 5days along (it was a Friday).  I thought, woo hoo! I have 3 weeks to get ready...  I went into labour the following Monday, so really, all I had was a weekend.  Then my life got turned upside-down (in a totally awesome way).

    Congrats & welcome!  ;o)

  • It's not something that I ever thought I would do when I was younger either but it's been one of the best decisions of my life. :-)

    Congrats!!!

  • Congrats! Friday was my last day too :-). I went back to work for one month after almost 10 weeks of maternity leave. I am scared about finances...but thrilled at the prospect of getting to be home with our baby girl!!!

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:26-27&33-34
