What are the chances that I'm pregnant?
I'm new to writing on here, so sorry if I'm doing this inaccurately.
My husband and I are ready for a baby, but we don't want to plan and
stress about BDing on certain nights and whatnot. We want it to be a
surprise, for both of us, and when it happens, it happens. I do chart
my Cervical Mucus/BBT, but I don't tell my husband so he can't try and
plan 
Anyways, we got our first BFP just after Christmas, however it
quickly ended and resulted in AF. Though we were disappointed, we just
exclaimed that it just wasn't meant to be. He doesn't know (like I
said, I track everything, but he decides when we BD), but we had sex
every day from 3 days before I ovulated, the day I ovulated, and the
day after I ovulated. Pretty lucky, right? However, to make it more of
a surprise, I wipe out with a towel every time he "goes" in me. I know
the sperm are fast and a lot of them may have made it up through my
cervix before I wiped them out, but I must have gotten the vast
majority. I was just wondering, what are the chances do you think?

I am not feeling well (have the flu) and I'm a little cranky, so my nice hat may have fallen off a little.
First, it's actually called sex. Second, I personally cannot imagine having my husband tell me when we're having sex. I have so many issues with that, but that's my personal issue, not yours, just had to put that out there.
Third, we are not psychic. If you timed sex around ovulation, you could be pregnant, but you could not be pregnant. Statistics say you have around a 20% chance each month, a bit higher if you catch certain days around ovulation. Still, it took us nine cycles. If you think you might be pregnant, the only way to know is to take a test. How

Hey!
As for my husband telling us when to have sex, I don't mind at all. When I feel like it, we do it. If he just feels like it, I'm usually fine with it. If I really don't, then we won't. It doesn't bother me, personally.
I was wondering what the chances are, as I wipe out (not just outside but inside my vag too). Yes, the statistics are 20% each month, but that's if we are not wiping out. It must lower the chances significantly (or so I'd think).
I'm not worried about it, as we're just letting chance run it's course. I was just wanting to know if anyone knew how much we are lowering our chances.

Hey, so how about you check out the Trying To Get Pregnant board, lurk a little bit over there, and maybe pick up a copy of Take Charge of Your Fertility (since understanding how your body works is never a bad thing). You can do all this while you're waiting for your period to be late so you can take a home pregnancy test. Because random people on the interwebz can't look at the dates/times of when you had sex, carry the 2 (factoring in wiping off the leftovers with a towel after sex), subtract 1, then by solving for x magically tell you whether you're pregnant or not.
But maybe I'm just jaded.

I'm confused... if you're worried it is lowering your chances, why in the world do you go to such uh.. lengths, to "wipe out"?
And since we're in TMI territory, unless you actually wipe your cervix, I think sperm still gets where it needs to go upon ejaculation. What trickles out isn't going to stop you from getting pregnant.
OK, now I need to think about something else!
