Seriously DH?!?!

I am going to complain here for a moment. More like vent.

I am suppose to be on bedrest. DH cleaned the house yesterday and I am very thankful that he did what he did. I asked him to finish cleaning the toilet and the shower because it is completely disgusting. And to finish the laundry because I have most my work cloths that need to be washed.

What does he do today? When I fall asleep he goes and hangs out with his friends. Really DH?! Go downstairs to check on the laundry and NONE of it is done. Friday afternoon, and I have to work tomorrow and NONE of my cloths are done. UGH!!!!

I have just come to the conclusion that I can not be on bedrest. This is not the first time he has done this and his excuses are, "I forgot." or "I hate cleaning when you are around because I do not do it good enough for you." Which is funny because when he cleans I usually am not around. Nor have I ever micromanaged his cleaning.

Then he comes home and says, "what are you doing you are suppose to be in bed." Really? Wow you are smart. Well if the laundry was getting done then maybe I would be in bed. If the bathroom did not look gross then I would be in bed. If you would of done all the things you said you would do instead of hanging out with your friends the maybe I would be in bed. Then the part that pisses me off the most is he pouts because he knows I am right. But really?! Pouting?!?!

Ok vent over.

  • What do you do for work? I don't understand why you can't do laundry if you can work, but you're supposed to be on bed rest. Sorry, but if my doctor put me on bed rest then cleaning and laundry and work be damned...I'd be staying in bed.

My job is very easy. I only work 3 days a week. I begged my doctor to not put me on full bedrest because we saved only enough for my maternity leave not for the off chance that I would be on bedrest. And also we have already tapped into those savings because DH lost his job in November. Even though he is on unemployment, which helps, there have been a few bills we were not expecting.

And yes cleaning and laundry is damned. My doctor would freak if she found out I did it. But it needed to get done.

Ok. So modified bed rest then. Gotcha. That does stink that he bailed on washing your work clothes. Maybe he was planning on washing them after he got home tonight? One can hope, right?

Yeah modified bed rest. I go back on Tuesday, and if my BP is still high then she is going to put me on full bed rest.  Tongue Tied

  • My DH is very similar. Says I get up his butt when he's cleaning (though I don't)and that I nag him when he doesn't do things.

Welll... I did ask you a week ago to vacuum, and I finally gave in today and did it... so... I guess if you were on top of the things you said you'd do, I wouldn't have to ask you all the time to do it, would I?
