Diaper Rash Help...

So, Ava still has diarrhea from the stomach bug she had on Tuesday.  Only a few times a day, but still.  Her poor little bum is raw and peeling.  We are using just wet paper towels and are dabbing (not wiping) as much as we can.  I've been putting triple paste on it, which is our go-to cream.  Is this good/bad?  Anyone recommend anything else?  TIA!

    I always use triple paste when we have a bad diaper rash and air out as much as possible

    Burnt flour worked for Penny's last rash.  It was my Mom's home remedy and I never tried it until Penny's last rash that would not heal.  It was wet and raw.

    So put some flour in a frying pan and just stir it around until it browns...don't let it burn!  Then just put that on her rash after it cools down.  No diaper cream over that.

    Penny's took about 36 hours to completely clear after that, but by the next morning, it was considerably better.

    Google it if you think I am crazy:)

    Poor girl...diaper rash sucks!

    Our pedi has recommended the aquaphor/mylanta mixture.  It works great for us!

    Peptobismal, coat her rump in it.  Actually works better than Triple Paste that we also loved.

    Thanks for the suggestions!  I just changed her again, and her bum looked a million times better than this morning.  I think I'll try one more night of triple paste, then it is on to your suggestions!  Burnt flour?  Who knew?  ;)
