Re: going back to work on monday

  • For me, the anticipation was far worse than the actual act of going back.

And I was going to back to a job I hated.  Actually, not the job I hate, it's the people.

    Good luck!

I just started back this week, and I found this to be true for me too.  I was sad leaving the first day, but honestly once I got to work and was busy, the day went fast.  Good luck!

[ps...I think it was somewhat easier for me than I thought it would be is because I'm only working p/t - so I have off on Tues and Fri.  I also think it will get more difficult as he begins to do more/interact and I realize how much I'm missing during the day.]

Ditto this. I like my job & was excited to go back all the way up until the weekend before my 1st day back. My older sister sits for us so that made it a little easier for me, but you will make it & perhaps even enjoy your baby-free time? I know for me, it's good to get in some adult only time.

ETA: I'd like to add that the evening after work & weekends will mean that much more to you now as well!

this exactly...i was a WRECK leading up to it..and the first day did suck...i cried pretty much the whole way into work...but the second day wasn't as bad..and then I had the weekend (I started back midweek to ease my transition).  I had one really bad day the next week and then it wasn't bad again.

I still have crappy days here and there...especially now that he is so much fun and changing soooo fast!  but...you have to do what you have to do..and I think I personally benefit from having a break from him.  My desire to be around him is sooo strong now that I feel like I'm an even better mom when I'm with him.  I'm pretty sure I'd get wiped out if I spent all day, every day with him.  ((((HUGS))))  I hope that it isn't as bad as you are expecting!!!

  • I actually thought the first few days were decent. I was busy and it was nice to drink coffee in peace. Don't ask me about now, lol. Also, I love love love the pic!
