I've been best friends again with my belly band, but think it's probably time to just surrender and unpack the big guns. Given, I was huge last time, and I'm bigger this time earlier, sigh, oh well.
I'm 24 weeks and I busted out my maternity pants last week. The maternity pants are a bit big and I have trouble keeping them up; but i'm too big for my regular pants. I'm stuck in pant purgatory I hate that damn bella band, I would rather keep pulling up my too big pants.
I started wearing them at 17 weeks, but I'd been out of "normal" pants, and living in sweats/yoga pants for a good month by the time I actually gave in and put maternity jeans on.
This is my first, but my mom showed early, too. Guess it runs in the family!
I had to switch to maternity jeans around 14 weeks, finally gave up the rest of my regular pants at 16 weeks.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I gave in to the glory of maternity pants at 16 weeks. This is my first baby but my bloat was really doing a number on me and I just didn't like the bella bands.

I think for me I wore maternity pants full time around 14 weeks, this is my first. I find them to be comfy and really easy for me to wear to work rather than mess with the bellaband,
I'm having my first. I didn't fit in most of my regular clothes pretty early on - probably 10 weeks. I managed to fit in my bigger pants and non-button-up shirts until about 12 weeks, then broke down and bought some BeBands. Once I finally announced the pregnancy at 14 weeks, I officially made the switch to maternity clothes. I wish I had felt confident enough to make the switch earlier, I was so uncomfortable until then!
with my first pregnancy, i was terribly bloated and started wearing maternity pants at 8 weeks. this time around, much less bloat, and i started wearing them at 14 weeks.

I started wearing them around week 11. This is baby 1 for me, but I was SO uncomfortable and I hated the band thingey. Mine wasn't a bellaband so that might have been the problem. I am petit, but I tend to have a little belly anyway so I knew I would probably be in maternity pants earlier. I don't think I will ever go back to normal pants now = )

This is my first, and I just started wearing the bella band next week. But as soon as I walk in the door I put on my sweatpants! I definitely need some maternity pants soon. At least 1 pair!
Around 12 weeks, and this is my second. I'm all about comfort, so I switched as soon as my pants started to feel uncomfortable at the end of the day. No rubber bands or Bella bands for me.
I'm slowly adapting to them. It is baby #1 for me and I'm at 24w 4d. I had a lot of people give me maternity clothes for Christmas (both hand-me-downs and new stuff) and so I just decided I'd rather wear that than buy new clothes. I probably just need a new size of jeans because my bump is no where near big enough to keep up the maternity pants.
This is my 2nd, and I started wearing them around week 11. I still have a couple pairs of regular pants that I can wear, butI think over the next week or so I'll be 100% in maternity pants. They're just so much more comfortable!
With my first I don't think I started wearing them until about 18 weeks. I'm definitely showing a little earlier this time.
I'm waiting for my mat. jeans to come in the mail. I hated the bella band so i've been doing the hair band trick for last couple weeks. I finally had to break down and buy a couple pairs. This is my first.

This is baby #1, and I started wearing maternity pants around 12 weeks. I was just way more comfortable in the full-panel style than I was having a waistband cut into me all day.
Married to my best friend 6/5/10
BFP #1 9/7/10, EDD 5/14/11, Violet born 5/27/11.
BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
I think I was around 10 weeks. This is my first. I could have held out longer but I just wanted to be comfortable and knew I would have to make the switch eventually anyway. I have found that having a big booty actually comes in handy because I haven't had any issues keeping the maternity pants up!
First pair of mat pants - 10 weeks. All mat pants - 12 weeks. I could still wear most of my shirts until about 16-17 weeks, but then they got too short. Now I'm out of the small band pants that I got at first and into all full panels. Much more comfy.
It depends on where you're carrying and can also depend on how tall you are - I'm only 5'2 and have a short torso.
This is my first baby, and I bought maternity pants at 9 weeks. I was super nauseous and hated the bella band and just wanted to be comfortable. I started then with the under-belly maternity pants. I got my first full panel maternity pants around 16-18 weeks.
Re: when did you break out the mat. pants
Unfortunately, I made it to 10w6d and then I had to break them out. For me, this is baby #2.
I started showing early with my first and with this one, it's out of control. Oh well!
