onesie question

i was just re-packing lo's hospital bag and realized i had sleep ?n plays but no onesies. do i need them? i know they can irritate the belly button. also what kind of socks are you packing? and are you packing the hand covers/mittens?

    I don't buy mittens anymore because my kids would ALWAYS lose them the first time I put them on. I much prefer the sleepers with the part you can fold over to act as mittens. If you have the baby in a sleeper, you don't need socks.

    I had my kids in onesies after birth, but I used plain white ones that I wouldn't mind tossing because of the stump blood.

    ah. that makes sense. i hadn't even thought of the sleepers with hand covers i have! haha. i'm officially losing my brain. thank you for always having responses to my possibly stupid questions tiffany. i think i'm starting to freak out since i'm so close to the end and this is my first...not to mention my insane fear of the birthing process. lol. thanks again!
