Seeing my pregnant BFPB tonight (preg. mentioned)

So when I found out I was pregnant, my friend IRL also found out she was within a week of me. We were so excited to be pregnant together and then I miscarried. I had to text her to tell her and she just said, "Yea I know." No "I'm sorry" No "that sucks" and I haven't talked to her since. I'm sure she just didn't know what to say or how to respond, but unfortunately I have to see her tonight for the first time since the m/c. I'm just a little nervous to see her as she has posted on FB that she already has a bump. Plus side is I'm going to drink tonight and she can't (kinda makes me feel better).

<hugs> Good luck. Depending on how the night goes, if she talking about her pg a lot I would tell her how hurt you were by her remark. That way she will hopefully get the clue that you don't want to talk about it. Just remember that it is ok to excuse yourself if you need to.

(((big hugs))) I know how tough this situation may seem at first, but I got through my similar situation this week alright. My pregnant SIL has still not told me "I'm sorry". All I got was a "I hope you are feeling better", as if I had a cold or something...I thought that it was pretty lame and rude, but sided with the likelihood that she probably had no idea what to say. I hope that your friend shows a little more compassion to you this time when you see her, and I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers. You can get through this, but I would like to make one small suggestion from personaly experience: take it easy on the drinks, it only took me two drinks to open up and cry the last time I was out with friends. Really it's just food-for-thought. I hope that you enjoy your evening and I would like to hear an update later this weekend. I am rooting for you!

Geez, I'm so sorry. Your friend doesn't sound very supportive at all. I mean, how hard is it to just say I'm sorry? I hope that the GTG works out tonight. Just think about her bump this way - it's just bloat. (I know, not very nice - but it made me smile Big Smile .) ((HUGS)) and GL!
