Success after IF

First haircuts

When did your LO get their first haircuts?  The boys weren't born with a whole lot of hair.... they just now have enough to cover their heads (think thin film).

Dh mentioned how cool would it be if we got the boys their first haircuts in magic kingdom.  My response today? only if it's a mohawk!

Re: First haircuts

  • Jacob got his first hair cut when he was 11 months old.  Man did he need it!  And his hair just grows so fast!  He's probably had 6-7 haircuts in the past year!

  • He was about 13 months. He needed it, he has always had a lot of hair and it was super long and crazy.

  • My son got his first haircut last weekend, so 9 months.  He was born with a lot of hair and lost a little for a couple months, but it grew back like crazy.  He looks really cute with his haircut, but now he looks like a little boy instead of my baby Crying
It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!

  • We did K's first haircut a few weeks ago. I was really against it, but agreed to a trim because it was growing really long in the front and sides. I don't think the "stylist" did a great job so I'll be waiting quite awhile for haircut #2.
  • Serious I was reading something about the Magic Kingdom first haircut and want to fly to Florida just for this. They give a cool certificate and everything. I am a Disney nut - just so you know.

DS hair just started to grow recently. I think I am holding off until 18 months or so for his first. It is super thin though.

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Not only a cool certificate - you get Mickey ears with "first haircut" stitched on the back.  Not shabby for $18!

YES! I couldn't remember what the wow factor was, but now that you mentioned it, that was the thing wanting me to fly out. ... In turn it would be like a 2000 and 18 dollar hair cut for the whole trip for me. DH vetoed it LOL

  • Henry was a little over a year old. He had really cute curls in the back that I didn't want to cut off, but it was time.

  • Grant was 8 months when he got his first haircut. My mom had taken to calling him Elvis because he sideburns were soooooo long! Honestly, I think that LO looks so darn cute after a trim! I am lucky, he stills really well for haircuts, even when his stylist uses the electric razor (to clean up his neck and around his ears). You have to KNOW that in a few years, Grant will be going to military barbershops with his daddy!

  • We are planning to make a trip to Disney for Jack's first haircut! The on going joke since he has been born is that his hair better grow slow to give us time to save up for the trip. Looks like at the rate it's growing we're in the clear!  We're hoping to go next December Jack with be 18 months.
