I'm a firm believer that the type of music you're into says a LOT about you. I want to know more about my online besties. :-) So tell me:
1.) What song/artist are you really loving right now?
2.) What's your favorite genre?
3.) Has your taste changed over the years?

Re: Poll: Music
1.) hmm..lets go with my two favorite pandora stations instead since I havent fixated on a specific artist in a while. I'm loving my Timerlake/Timbaland Pandora station for chair dancing at work...and I have had a 5 year love affair with a station that started off as Damien Rice...so its a lot of guitar/acoustic sort of music. Amos Lee, Jack Johnson, Ray LaMontagne, etc....
2.) Depends on my mood..I love acoustic guitar stuff...but I also adore techno (but don't get to listen all that often since DH HATES it)
3.) absolutely!! in high school i liked Country
Then in college I was a party girl and was way into techno and dance remixes. I had one angry, drunken summer that I was into angry alternative. And now I'm more of the acoustic, happy music
ETA: So what does that say about me?

1) I am loving Muse right now, I have a hard time getting in radio stations where I live so I am not up on a lot of new music.
2) I don't have a fav, it depends on my mood. I like pretty much everything but country, I just can't get into it.
3) I have added things I like over the years but always go back to the bands I loved growing up- Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, U2

1.) What song/artist are you really loving right now? I got some new CDs for Christmas that I am listening to in my car all the time...Florence and The Machine, Band of Horses, Wintersleep, Teagan and Sara, and the Besnard Lakes. My go to CD is She and Him. I love Feist, Wilco...
2.) What's your favorite genre? I love sirius U, channel 26.
3.) Has your taste changed over the years? In my house growing up, we always listened to the radio in our rooms ALL NIGHT. We didn't turn them off when we were going to sleep. When I started dating DH, he couldn't have the radio on while sleeping, it would keep him up. Now, he has the jazz channel on in our room and the kids have radios in their rooms too.
P.S. My DH is a big fan of OCMS, and I do really like Wagon Wheel!

1.) What song/artist are you really loving right now?
Very bad about keeping up with new music these days...the newest music I love is Michael Franti, but my favorite stuff of his is actually older (Stay Human).
2.) What's your favorite genre?
Jazz & R&B (HUGE Stevie Wonder fan)
3.) Has your taste changed over the years?
Yeah...in HS I was into the Beatles, Rolling Stones, & stuff (in addition to current music), used to be really into pop/top 40/hip-hop in college & beyond. Still like it, but not as much and don't listen as often. Now I mostly listen to Pandora on stations I like rather than specific albums.
My taste is actually pretty eccelectic...in addition to the aforementioned genres I like heavier stuff like System of a Down, Incubus, Foo Fighters. Also love some singer/songwriter stuff like John Mayer and Norah Jones.

I'm a firm believer that the type of music you're into says a LOT about you. I want to know more about my online besties. :-) So tell me:
1.) What song/artist are you really loving right now? I'm always a big fan of Regina Spektor and have been listening to her when DH isn't in the car (he won't tolerate her). Otherwise, I've been listening to our Cut Copy CD a lot lately and Morrissey. Oh, and I've been listening to Weezer's Pinkerton a lot in honor of the re-release (although I'm still listening to the old version).
2.) What's your favorite genre? I like a lot. Mostly classic rock (what was considered classic rock 10-20 years ago, like the Who, the Doors, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin), new wave (Depeche Mode, the Cure, New Order, Smiths) and as far as newer music, I guess "Indie" although I hate that term (Cut Copy, Panda Bear, Interpol - pretty much the stuff that sounds like classic rock or new wave). I also love Weezer and Oasis, not sure where they fit in, "alternative"?
3.) Has your taste changed over the years? I used to be a lot more into darker/angry music when I was younger, like NIN (who I still think are brilliant musically but it doesn't speak to me as much anymore) Linkin Park (which I acknowledge is essentially garbage but still sounds good to me) and even stuff like Limp Bizkit. I always liked the classic rock/new wave stuff though.
I LOVE Tegan and Sara (and Wilco). DH lets me listen to them more than other chick music because he acknowledges they are great songwriters. We listen to XM 43 (XMU).
I just realized I didn't really answer #3, that was more of an aside...I should have went on to say....DH is like a music encyclopedia. He worked in radio and knows everything! When I was a kid my parents didn't really encourage a love of music, it was background noise in the house.
Then, as a teenager, it was pretty much going along with the crowd musically. I was more of a follower in that area, than a leader. I would never have been the one to stick a new CD in the stereo at a party. EVER! It's funny because I was so confident in most other ways.
Getting sirius literally changed my life when it comes to music. I have been introduced to so much music I love because of the range of things I hear on there. DH doesn't really like the Coffeehouse channel, but I really like it too.
This made me laugh out loud. :-)
