Induction date set

I had a growth scan today and the baby is only measuring 35-36 weeks, so my doctor wants to go ahead and induce - a case of "baby will thrive better out than in". So next Wednesday, I'll have one more appointment and another ultrasound and then check into the hospital for induction. I'm really disappointed because I was trying to have a natural, unmedicated birth but it looks like that won't be happening. But it's the best thing for the baby, so I'm happy to do it, even if it won't be the birth I pictured.

    This is exactly what happened to me!! I am in the hospital right now, I really wanted to go on my own but here I am! Crazy! Good luck :)

    This sounds like me!  I had a bpp today & go in for an NST before my regular appt on Monday, then Tuesday she's inducing me if LO hasn't come by then.  I've been tiny all along so I guess it shouldn't come as too huge of a surprise, but I also was hoping to not have to go through an induction and have a med-free birth.  I did hear some good induction stories though earlier this week so that comforted me a little that it might not be a huge drug-fueled nightmare.  I can't wait to pork this LO up once she's on the outside!
