How to find Mommy and Me groups?
Hi, I am new to the website and was hoping someone might have some suggestions on how to get involved with a mommy and me group in my area (long beach). Thanks!

hey I just saw your post. I'm from Long Beach and the meetup group is pretty dead.
I suggest you join Mommyandbeachbabes and lblittleones yahoo groups. There are a lot of members in those groups. lblittleones is a huge group and there are playdates all the time, but it's hit or miss. Mommyandbeachbabes is more about organic, yoga and healthy living type of moms.
If you have gotten a chance, take a look at the long beach recreations classes. The baby classes, especially Baby dance is awesome for new moms and way cheaper than gymboree. Courtney the instructor is also in both lblittleones and mommyandbeachbabes. You'll meet some moms in those groups and that's how I think beachbabes group started, and also a lblittleones subgroup started.
