  You know DH and I were talking about this recently with our friend. They wanted a girl really bad and they were told by the RE that with ICSI you are more likely to have a BOY over if you do IUI/IVF because of how slow moving the boy sperm is!

  I thought that was interesting but I had never heard that before!

  I dont understand?  Are you trying ofr a girl? if you really want a girl then have PGD otherwise as you know of course there are no guarantees....

  I always heard it was the girl sperm that were slower... But you aren't trying to decide on ICSI solely because of a possible gender bias....right?

  Sorry didn't mean to double post but also wanareted to add that we did ICSI on our embryos and I actually met with our RE a couple of days ago and he said it was no bearing on gender.

  Again, honestly if you want a girl that bad you should take the money you would spend on ICSI and do it on PGD as it's 100% gender guaranteed.  We are considering it doing it on our frozen embryos because I want a girl as well....

  I do desperately want a girl. We can do ICSI, but we don't need to do it, My RE offered the opinion that it can affect the outcome. He trends slightly higher with girls on 3dt with ICSI. He also said it is only slightly higher. like 66/100

  He told me he does not want to do PGD for several reasons, but the biggest is that I don't get enough embryos and he asked me do I want a girl, or do I want another baby, and of course, I prefer girl, but I would love a boy, too. So I dont want to endanger my embryos, you know?
