L & D Gods, Why? (vent)

Just got back from L&D and not only am in pain, but feel hopeless. I know I don't progress past 3 cms without an epidural, but I was still hoping that it could happen. No such luck.
Today is DS2's birthday, so to be honest, I did not want to have Riley today, but if he was ready then I guess I was along for the ride. My contractions were going like 6-7 mins apart for the better part of the afternoon, but just before dinner I sat down, DH was cooking pizza, and I noticed they were closer and stronger and lasting over a minute. I started timing them. They were 4-5 mins apart from the end of one to the start of the next. Each contraction was 1-2 minutes long. They were getting worse and I had that pressure feeling (like I needed to go number 2 bad). I called my OB when I had issues talking through them and they had been going for an hour and a half like that. She advised me not to even wait for MIL to arrive to watch the boys. I packed up the kids and we were off to L & D.
L & D checked me out. I had progressed to 3 cms from 2.5 cms in two days and was having clear contractions that were indeed strong and regular (monitored me for over an hour). The OB said because I was only 37 weeks they would not help me along in any manner. They would release me. When they called my OB to update, she advised to let me walk for an hour and then recheck since she was worried that I was in early labor and it would be missed. I walked for 45 mins (they cut it off early) and rechecked me. I was still 3 cms, but now had a bulging bag. The contractions were even stronger and harder and now 3-4 mins apart. I was immediately discharged. I was told if I couldn't talk or walk through them (um, Hi! that's why I called my OB in the first place) and they were 2-3 mins apart or my water broke (ugh! only 1-10 women have this happen without medical assistance) I could come back. I was advised that a warm water bath or tylenol would help aleve the symptoms.
The contractions are so bad (even after a warm bath and tylenol) and I feel like I should be pushing that I can't sleep. Riley is flipping around like a mad man (did this in the hospital during the monitoring too). I actually walked down the stairs crying knowing that I only have a week and a half until induction, but to continue like this will be a nightmare and physically exhaust me. Vent over.

Wow, that sounded exactly like my 3x visiting the L&D ward. And here I am still! Even though I'm a solid 4cm, they won't take me because I can talk still. >:(
I'm sorry mama! I certainly hope things move for you a LOT faster than they have been for me.
