What type of clothes do you wear. I have such a hard time finding clothes that hide my stomach. Shirts are not loose enough and pants hurt my incision site. Help me find some clothes!
My jeans used to bother me (and they occasionally do) but for the most part my incision doesn't affect my clothing choices. The scar is really low though- when it was healing I bought some cheap high waisted undies so my pants wouldn't rub on it.

It worries me that your incision site still hurts. Mine is just a scar now and I don't feel anything. Just a thought that you might want to get your dr. to check it. Hope you get some relief!

It's the site all the way up to my belly button. It hurts when I wear jeans and it is numb/weird feeling in that area also. Doc said it will just take a while for the nerve endings to heal.

With an incision like that I would wear something that doesn't push in on my stomach. I still wear my maternity pants because they're the most comfortable pants I have. (They are black dress pants and no one can tell they're maternity pants unless I would lift my shirt up.) Something with an elastic waist maybe? I know that's very "mom-ish" but it might not push so hard on your tummy.
I wear jackets all the time, so I am able to hide my stomach well. As for pants, I am always in pajama pants because it doesn't irritate the scar. When I do wear jeans I wear a belly-band thing that is able to cover the scar, and I pull my underwear over the top of that. When it's time for the jeans I pull them up above the scar and tighten my belt so it helps my pants not to rub it or slide down.
I still have pain too (pinching, pulling feelings). It itches above the scar more than anything.

Thanks ladies, I'm going to try to go shopping next week. I'm just trying to figure out what I'm going to buy. If I have a game plan I'll spend much less.
The leggings shouldn't hurt your vertical incision and a tunic will cover any extra baby weight you have. Pair it up with a cute pair of boots and you are all set.

I'm in my pre-preggo clothes too, but I don't think that makes a difference. Your scar shouldn't hurt at all by this point. You should put a call into the Dr.

I love wearing casual shirt dresses and leggings. But I agree, your scar shouldn't be hurting. I didn't have a very good recovery and all of my pain was gone by 6 weeks pp.
Re: c section mama's
I wear all of my prepregnancy clothes. My stomach is 100% back to normal and flat.
I'm confused if you are having problems because you had a c-section or because you haven't lost your baby weight.

What about leggings and tunics?
