Did you call your doctor right away?

Since I only got my BFP today and am only 3 weeks, 5 days, I'm a little hesitant to call my doctor. I guess I'm just scared that I will end up calling her next week to say "Nevermind..."

When did you call to let your doctor know? Is anyone else worried?

I got my BFP at 13 DPO and called that day. Mostly because I was in shock and didn't know what to do. Also I have to see a different doctor because my regular one doesn't deliver babies, so I wanted to make sure I could get in.

I called the morning I got my BFP, even though I hadn't missed my period yet. I was really worried about that too, but after I had the blood test done, I felt so relieved. I think a BFP is good enough proof that you should call your doc!

I called the same day too. I go to a private practice and was with them with my first pregnancy so I knew they wait until 8 weeks to do an ultrasound and then they have you back again at 10 weeks for a few more tests. It felt good to have both of those appointments scheduled! Made it feel a little more real and although Feb 28 feels like it is more than an eternity away ( my 8 week appt) I'm sure it will fly by.

What more proof do you need?? Give them a call!

I called the day after my BFP (Monday), and I am going in for my first appointment today (just to confirm). I wanted to miss AF before I actually went in since I tested early. I had the same concerns as you, but I figured if anything happened between calling and my appointment I would probably want to go in to see her anyways. Good luck!

I called the Monday after my BFP because I wanted to make sure I actually missed my period before looking like an idiot. Smile

The practice doesn't do the first prenatal visit until 6-8 weeks, but my doc sent me for a blood hcg just to confirm.

Found out Monday, called Thursday. I was going to wait until I remembered what a biitch work can be letting me take time off for anything so yeah, even with three weeks notice about me having a doctors appointment they gave me crap and asked me to reschedule.

I missed my period and got a BFP on day day 11dpo. I called that day and set up my first appt, which is at 8 weeks. They then called in for a blood test to confirm, which I took yesterday. I am pretty sure I am, all the signs are there and my AF is now almost a week late, super tired and hungry! Congrats!

I got my bfp yesterday and called today to schedule an appt. I called the day of with DD. I'm only to make appts. on certain days because of DH's work schedule (we share a car) so I wanted to call as soon as possible.

I wouldn't worry about it being too early, or that something will happen in the meantime. Just have faith that everything will work out.

I got my BFP on a Sunday, and called Monday morning. I am new to this OB/GYN as my old one doesn't deliver at the hospital I want. I am scheduled for a nurse's appointment Feb. 14th (at a little over 7 weeks) to go over my history, have some blood work and a Pap done, etc. I then have to wait until March 15th (11 1/2 weeks) to go back in to see the doctor and have my first u/s. I called my family doctor Monday also and had him send me for blood work right away, since he saw me during my last pregnancy/miscarriage. March 15th feels like an eternity away!
