Alright, ladies, how are all the sickies doing this morning?
Bride- is little sleeping alright? Has the liqui-poo set in from the abx?
Shern- Is the Roseola starting to clear? Fever still gone?
Joyco- what's up w/ the coop?
Fjaril- crossing fingers that H hasn't woken up yet (what is it...5:45 there?), but that when he does, he's fever free and happy!
Did I miss anyone? Oh- Taytee, saw Abby's booboo post on FB last night. All is well?

Since she's not eating, she's not getting the probiotics in her and we all know what that means.
The O'Baby Blog
Jakob is on day 7 of a fever. Strangest virus I've ever seen. The fever keeps coming and going. Yesterday, I gave him motrin and it went up to 103.8. This morning he's at 100.3.
And now Layna's right eye is all watery and runny. Awesome.
taylor has been coughing the last few days. this morning lots of snot and fever. she looks miserable. it's gonna be a looooong day
wish all the kiddos a speedy recovery!!
Coop is much better. No fevers last night, feeling fine this morning--ate everything on his plate for breakfast. The pedi thinks it is a really bad cold, definitely not the flu and to just be chill this weekend, but that he should be good to go next week for any playdates.
He slept with me and holy crap, that kid is a terrible bed mate.
We've been lucky and haven't had issues with fevers. DD has a really bad cold with a low grade fever and a cough and stayed home from school two days so she wouldn't hack up a lung on her desk at school. DS has picked up the cough but hoping it stops there. He has done sooooo much better with the cedar this year (knock on wood).
Hope all the sickie's feel better soon!!
I'll chime in too. My daughter is on day 7 of a high fever which resulted in yet another appt. with the dr and a round of xrays too. So, now she has bacterial pneumonia for the second time in a month. We are on a strong dose of antibiotics and it doesn't help that she is allergic to amx. And now we have to go see the pediatric pulmonologist to make sure it isn't something more serious. My son is on day 3 of a slight fever(101) coupled with a really bad attitude. Luckily the baby hasn't gotten sick but it's been a LONG week and I'm ready for it to be over with!
What probiotics do you guys recommend for after antibiotics...I have just been using a generic whole foods one but am wondering if there is something better??
Thanks!
My friend mentioned pneumonia to me. Jakob's had a fever for so long, I guess that could be it but isn't there a lot of coughing and stuff? He's not doing that.
I just give lots of yogurt with antibiotics and its been good enough.
Allisons's sick too. 101 fever this morning. Luckily no real other symtoms at all. And she's acting like she feels fine. But she's home today with dad.
And I swear this is the second year she's gotten sick 4-5 days after a well check visit. I'm no longer goign to take her in January for a well check. There are just too many germ floating around the dr's office this time of year.
Hope everyone's LO feel better soon!
DD just came down with her SEVENTH cold since Sept. Yes, I'm counting so that I can hold it against her when she's 21. "Do you KNOW how much sleep I lost??!!" Poor little thing doesn't even know what it means to be healthy anymore. Although she keeps a pretty good attitude.
THEN - DH's back gave out yesterday when getting DD out of her crib (we just lowered the mattress a few days ago and he hadn't gotten used to it). He's a bigger baby than she is right now.
My weekend's gonna S-U-C-K.
H slept until 7:45 this morning, but had a 102.5 temp.
I called the most recced pedi office and their triage nurse will call me back at 8:45 to see if I can get one of the 2 appointments they have open.
I miss tree house. (if i were a regular patient, I could go to the walk in right now, but I'm not)
I might look for more recs, tho it seems lots of people love this office.
we have goopy nose, watery eyes, cough (not really producing, but not a dry wheezey sound either) still asking for ear kisses (but he likes those so it might just make him feel better)
Thanks for thinking of us! I hope all the other kiddos feel better quickly!
Zee Toddler probably also has RSV (none of the other crap though, thank god), been sick for two weeks too. Coughing, runny nose, run down and stab-yourself-in-the-ear whiny.
Zee Baby has a cold too, just cleared by Dr as nothing more, thankfully. But you know, 4mo infants who can't breathe or eat are less than happy. We're doing a constant shuffle between everything I have that keeps her upright- arms, carrier, swing, bumbo, car seat, propped on pillows, you name it.
Three sick kiddos is no fun! I'm just glad I get to give two of them back at 5:30 every day, lol. It's hard when the other two just want their own mommy, you know?
