I work mornings, so at least three days a week, DS has to take at least one bottle while I'm gone. Otherwise, he's going 6:30-11:30 without fluid (he'll eat a meal of solids). I EBF so it's pumped BM - usually he takes about 4 ounces.
He's cutting teeth right now, so that may be part of the problem, but his love of the bottle (ok, he never really liked it to begin with) has been slowly deteriorating for a while anyway. DH has tried different slow nipples, cup feeding, and a sippy, and DS is refusing all of them.
Anyone have any ideas of how we could get him to take some BM while I'm gone? Should we try a cup with a straw? DH says he just chews on the nipple, so I'm afraid he'll just chew on the straw as well. Maybe we should try a different kind of nipple? We've been using the plain Medela bottles. Help! We're at a loss here and really getting concerned.
Re: HELP! with refusing bottles
Yeah, maybe the nips are too hard. I'll try the Born Free ones and see if those work. Thanks!
