Baby leashes, a friendly post

For those that use them, do you have a recommendation? I really think the girls would dig these so they could have more freedom, because right now they go right in the stroller. It's hard when I go places alone and they both want to head in 2 different directions, but they are hating sitting in the stroller.

This is one of those things that I said "I would never do that to my child...."

Yeah yeah, I want them now:)

  • It's just funny it was brought up because I've been looking all week and reading reviews about kids getting out of them. My Hubby was all on board, seriously never in a million years thought I would buy them, but sign me up, 2 please:)

  • We have the eddie bauer monkey and it's cute but the part that the "leash" attaches to is at the bottom of the monkey. I re attached it to the top but its awkward. With it attached where it's supposed to be, if the child gets to running too far ahead of you and you're slow, it kind of throws off their center of balance. So I guess what i'm saying is to find one where the harness connects to the leash part up high.

FWIW - I use mine to keep Katen safe while I'm getting Ana in and out of the car. I can't hold both kids, so Ana gets out after Katen and goes in before Katen since Katen can stand without me holding her. I can't leave her standing next to me because she's like a dog that sees a squirrel. She'd totally run off no matter how much we practice freezing in position. That's just Katen.  :) ...and I love her for her curiosity but, ya know.  Safety first.

  • I bought the puppy Eddie Bauer one but haven't used it much. N doesn't really like it and still wants to go her own way and if she can't, she gets upset and it has ended up being more difficult to use it than to just let her go.
  • I've seen some like these:

    https://www.amazon.com/the-tag-a-long-tangerine/dp/B00327WOLG/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1296227127&sr=8-15

They hook onto the stroller and the kids hold them.  they get more freedom, but if they can't do a good job holding on they go back in the stroller.  Seems like a good option to me!

  • What I need is something to keep Reed from touching EVERYTHING on the shelves in the grocery store.  Penny sits in the cart, and Reed can't sit in the big part because he mauls everything so I let him walk.  I have started taking them to the farther-away-more-expensive grocery store so I can sit them both in the deluxe cart!  I have no experience with the leash:)  I need a short leash, like velcro:)

  • We have the Eddie Bauer Monkey and Pink Dog.

Honestly, when you have twins you need these!

I like this idea, but I don't think they would get it yet.

  • I was just thinking I could sew something that's pretty like  bracelet, some fun colors or beads or something that can be worn tight around the wrist so they can't get out or looser for when they get older.  It would have a long cord that attached to the stroller.  Wouldn't that be cute?!?!?!

  • We have the monkey back-pack one. DD loves it and will actually put it on herself. We mainly use it in airports. Once we get on the plane she can snuggle it like a regular stuffed animal.
