I went to the doc this week because I thought I had an ear infection but it turns its just allergies which I haven't had in years and never during the winter but that is neither here nor there. I started talking to her about the fact that I have had my period for a month and a half and some other little things that have been going on. I have to get bloodwork done tomorrow to check my thyroid, iron, and every vitamin/mineral she could check for. She thinks I may be running low on everything from what happened during my pregnancy. Didn't my body get the memo that I was done with all things having to do with hypermesis when I had Jax? DH finally agreed with me last night that we probably should not consider ever having another baby.
The good news is that Jax is now about as healthy as a daycare kiddo is going to be during the winter. The pink eye is gone and he is only coughing a bit at night. I also made my DH cry for being a jerk last week...he apologized profusely, said he was just stressed from work sucking, and has been more appreciative of what I do then I have ever seen him.
Re: The hyperemesis aftermath can kiss my rear
Hyperemesis took a toll on me as well, and it was not until 6 months that I finally felt human again. I know in my case bedrest didn't help either, but no doubt all that stress on your body can take awhile to work itself out.
I'm sorry, but maybe with the bloodwork they can get you back on track!
I'm sorry you are going through this. And I totally agree with the title of your post.
I had HG and ended up needing a blood transfusion after delivery. One thing I'm dealing with that I guess I could have foreseen, is that my teeth are a lot more sensitive and I've gotten my first cavity, ever. I guess with all that puking, which often was only bile, does a number on your teeth. I also couldn't really brush my teeth while pg b/c it was a trigger that made me puke. I know, how gross is that?
Not gross at all from what we were dealing with. My teeth are shot also, I went to the dentist the week after I had him because they were hurting so much. I now use the pro-namel sensodyne, restoring mouth wash and I drink everything threw a starw so nothing touches my teeth and it has helped a bit. I can't even chew gum! I go in next month for x-rays and I would be shocked if I didn't have a cavity or two.
Daycare is SO exhausting!

that sucks! you deserve for this hyperemesis crap to be 100% over.
and, i'm glad that your DH is being cooler about stuff.
