When is it normal to start dialating? Is 34 weeks too early? I just don't want to freak out at my u/s lol

    hold on...let me get my book out....

    the first time I was checked I was 36 weeks and a fingertip dilated with L

    the first time I was checked with C I was 35 weeks and 1cm dilated.  

    so I'm going to say it's safe to say, a little dilated is okay.  :)

    I was 4 cm at 36 weeks this time.  No idea when it started, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was at 34 weeks.  I didn't deliver for 3 more weeks if that makes you feel better ;)

    I don't think 34 weeks is too early to be a little dilated. Heck, I walked around 6 cm dilated for almost 2 months.

    Not too early. I wasn't checked until 36 weeks but I was 3cm already and I had contractions from time to time so I would think I was already dilated at 34 weeks.
