the silliest things....

somehow, for some reason, right at "that time" earlier this month... Davez created "Snake." It went with us on the cruise. It's stayed with us all along this month. I don't know why, it's not typical, and it's 'prolly not funny to others. But....


 

It's simply his hand, bent like, well, a snake, and it's just a dumb higher-pitched voice and this puppet-like gesture with his hand. But he slurs the name like "schnake" and uses 3rd person.  So "Schnake likes to tickle Ava" and "Schnake like to steal poppiecorn, lady!" and every once in a while, Ava is in bed, and Davez  pulls Schnake out and makes a funny with it like "Schnake thinks T's mom is BSC and wants to sink venom into her pancake arse"  and we giggle.

Davezwife likes Schnake.

    My husband has taken to wrapping Miles' blankey (aka "mank") around his head in an Aunt Jemima/turban fashion and wears it around until Miles notices and can wrestle it off his head.  It is freaking hilarious to me for some reason.  :-)

    Sometimes when DS wakes up in the morning he comes into our bed for a bit.  He immediately hugs me and DH.  But then within minutes he sits on DH's head and starts bouncing up and down on his head.  And goes 'boom, boom, boom'.  I LOVE how DH just laughs and laughs as DS tackles the crap out of him!  I swear the things he will let our son do to him.  Im surprised he hasnt broken his nose...

    Dh does this thing he calls head bonk! Walks up to one of the twins and say BONK and twins will put their head against his while yelling BONK! From there it turns into some crazy game. Eventually the twins are ganging up on dh yelling Dadda BONK BONK. This is one of DH sure fire ways to get an uphappy child to giggle!

    DH has a cute little song that he sings to Ethan every morning. Melts my heart each time.

    My DH likes to re-inact the "I've got a surprise for you" scene from Forgetting Sarah Marshall.  He did this before the movie, but he now quotes it at the same time.

    If you've never seen Sarah Marshall, picture a naked man making a slapping sound.  This is was sort of what I was think when you first said "snake".

    When DH is getting Maya dressed or in PJ's, they go "finger huntin", which consists of him tickling her around and searching for her hands through the sleeves. He talks in a really high pitched exciteable voice and it comes out more like 'feener huntin' and Maya just goes crazy.
