Advice needed

Hi ladies,

I am having some trouble, and need some adive from those who have been there. I had a D&C on JAn 3. so I am 3 weeks post. My dr did not do anymore blood wrok after, I haven't had a blood test since my 6 week appt prior to my m/c. I called the office today because I am having continuing pregnancy symptoms and now last night and tonight really bad cramping that is intermittent. I took a pg test it was negative, so I know my levels are low enough that they either do not register or I am at 0. I was told by the nurse to call back if I haven't seen AF by MArch 3rd. Does this seem reasonable to wait so long? The nurse also said they could prescribe Phenergan for the nausea if it was unbearable. Here the thing DH and I have decided to try again and I know that I shouldn't have this drug because there is no information of what it can do to a baby. Our Dr. cleared us at my post op visit. So we can TTC. I just do not know what to think, I was so sick this morning I thought I would lose my breakfast even before I got out of bed. Oh and I had some spotting last week with nothing to follow. Do I push the issue with my doc or do I seek other medical advise.

I dont have much advice other than to trust your doctor. Hopefully things will settle down for you soon. Good luck!

I would call and ask the nurse/Dr. if you can come in an get another blood test. I had my m/c in March of 09 and after weeks of waiting for a period and pregnancy symptoms, they ran more blood work and found out that my HCG level was still elevated, so after watching them and getting negative urine tests, we found out that the numbers had stopped going down and I needed a 2nd D & C. I hope this does not make you nervous, I just know that I was so frustrated and I ended up loosing 3 months of TTC because I waited so long to go back to the Dr. I hope that you get some answers soon.
