Success after IF

I think we have a name

We haven't made an official decision, and I don't think we'll announce it until after he's born (we were the same with DD). I'm such an indecisive person that I like to reserve my right to change my mind up until the last minute, but it's been the front runner for a long time now. I've looked in all the books and read all the web sites, and I haven't seen anything else I like as much.

The name is Lucas Henry. Our last name is one syllable and starts with a J. Henry is after my Dad, so the middle name won't change. My only reservation is that Lucas is pretty popular right now, but I just keep coming back to it in my head. And I like how it fits with DD's name, which is not too common. What do you all think?

ETA: Since I'm not really sharing with too many people IRL I would love to hear the opinions of my SAIF ladies. You can be honest!

  • I like it!  Would you call him Lucas or Luke?  [I think Luke is pretty popular right now, but I don't hear Lucas too often...]  Either way, I think it sounds good with your DD name.

Shannon, I sent you a message on FB last night about this very thing. I saw your reply to the names post on here yesterday, and I had to laugh. We must both have good taste in names. Stick out tongue

I plan on calling him Lucas, but I don't mind Luke as a nickname. I like they he would have the option to choose what he likes when he's old enough.

  • I love Lucas. I like that it's a little less common than Luke, which I also love. And it sounds great with your DD's name.

  • Congrats! Doesn't it feel good to have a name? It felt more real to me when I started picturing what my little Ethan would look like.
