I'm 12 days post c/s, my advise would be to take the meds regularly! Don't try to be super woman. Hoard all the hospital pads and use one of them across your incision as padding for the first few days. Don't be afraid to ask for different meds if some aren't right for you. There are other options besides percoset. On the up side while I'm still pretty swollen I made it to costco yesterday and the mall for a couple things today. I'm starting to feel like my old self more and more each day, don't rush it but know it will come ; ) Congrats and let us know how it goes!!
Honestly, I was up and walking the next morning. Quite stiff, but it just felt like an over-done ab workout. ) Personally, I hated the "pads" they had rigged up in the hospital! Made my bubby get some depends, not that I was really bleeding enough to need them, but SO much more comfy! No worries about messing up underwear and the waistband was well above my incision.
And take the meds for the first day or two at least. I never take drugs, but staying comfy helped me stay mobile and heal faster.
Hope you are doing great today! Can't wait to hear about it.
