  I think that definitely counts!!! Yay! Toodle says very few words correctly but they are still recognizable (particularly in context) and I think that's all that matters.

  Yep, that counts! Consistently and correctly are the keys, not the actual pronunciation.

  DH and I have argued about it and I don't think they have to have proper diction for it to count!

  Sam says " Caaaaah" instead of cat; "ook" instead of book and "dawwww" instead of dog.  But we clearly know what he is saying.
