  DH tells me that the batteries tend to do that when they start to go low.. he was reassuring me that there are no ghosts, lol.

  haha, yes! Emmie got this bath toy, Captain Jo Jo! 

  It would randomly go off & toot the horn & start singing it's song!  Needless to say...captain Jo Jo sank!

  Possessed.

  Um, j/k, but it is kinda freaky sometimes. We have an animal sounds puzzle that makes random noises too. DD had a little stuffed dog that was supposed to bark when you squeezed it, but then it started barking randomly all. the. time. DH took a hammer to it and it doesn't bark anymore. It didn't have removable batteries.

  OMG DD loves this toy! We turn it upside down so nothing touches the sensor and it stays quiet.

  MIL got DS a Melissa & Doug animal sounds puzzle that makes noise anytime we turn off a light.  It is brand new, new batteries and still does it.  With this puzzle it has to do that the sounds are activated by a light sensor turning off the lights will trigger it.  I guess I just need to store it upside down.

  Yeah this toy was new on Xmas so it can't be a dead battery thing. Must be the light sensor.  Now I'll have to find all the peices so it's covering up the little sensors.. LOL

  we have the same animal sound puzzle.  Also we have the leapfrog fridge animal thing that you match the two animal puzzle pieces and it randomly moos at me when opening the fridge. hmmm.... talk about incentive not to eat

  B has a remote-controlled fire truck that likes to randomly lurch forward and make noise. DH tells me it's probably because someone in an adjacent condo has something (phone, whatever) on the same frequency. Still creepy.

  He also has an old Winnie the Pooh electronic "book" that starts singing randomly. Very creepy, and when the batteries start to die in it Pooh sounds absolutely possessed.

  we have a vtech easel that you have to press the colors or touch the colors with the wand to make it work and it randomly goes off even when the switch is turned to off.

  We have one without batteries. I don't even know how it is still operating, but it's this frog thing. It has a bunch of colors and a rolling ball in the middle. It "ribbits" whenever it moves.

  For fun, we put it in the car when my little sister borrowed the car. She went crazy trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. Everytime she made a turn, went over a bump or breaked the thing went off.
