Who has Labs as Furbabies?!

I have a Black Lab, She is about 2 1/2 years old. Our best investment ever :-)! But I have OCD of cleaning, like i dont like to be this way but i clean 24/7 and dont like messes at all, (in my house) but she shed's more than enough so six months ago i started getting her shaved. And she looks AMAZING, just wanted to post sumthing bc i just got her done today and she looks like black velvet its so prettty! So if there are any others out there that doesnt like the shedding i recommend this 150%. What are you labs name?

9 thats great! I always say i dont know what i will ever do without her, shes amazing! and your pic is great! my dream is to take mylee to the beach someday! shes a swimmer, lol she even swims underwater.

I have Lab/Golden Retreiver mixes and they shed like crazy too. I shave them too, I actually shaved them last week and felt so sad for my white dog, they shaved her really short almost to her skin, and it's freezing here. I'm all for shaving the labs

We do! Sam's a black lab 19 months old and still lots of trouble. I am OCD with cleaning also. I run around the house with the mini vac everyday picking up more hair!

I know it is very cold here too lol. but shes only out for a few seconds each time she goes out! Your dogs are pretty! Cant wait to get a second one when we get out of the apartment!

I wish my dog would swim He HATES the water! and we live at the beach (go figure). His favorite thing is hiking in the mountains and snuggling by a fireplace.?

I do! Our yellow lab is Amber (see siggy pic!). She's almost 7 and still acts like she's a puppy sometimes! We love her free spirit.....yet she is so great when she knows you're upset. She'll just lay down beside me. I could definitely do without the shedding though! We love both our furbabies so much and I don't even want to think about them getting old.

My black lab is 5ish (shelter dog) and his name is Nelson. I hate thinking about him getting old : ( His name came from the fact that his shelter name was Admiral, and I immediately thought of Admiral Horatio Nelson (yes, I'm a history dork!) - so, Nelson it was.

I also hate his dog hair all over my hardwood floors, but it's worth it to have him around!

3. dyson vacuum

b/c all dogs shed twice a year for 6 mos at a time LOL , and shaved dogs shed too just smaller pokier hairs.

My chocolate lab is 1.5years old! I would LOVE to see a picture of your shaved dog- I didnt even think that was an option and I would LOVE anything that gets the hair even under control a bit!

I have a chocolate lab too, his name is Jack and he is our boy. He will be 13 in March, and it starting to really slow down. It's hard as they age. We love him so much. When we moved to Texas we started getting him shaved and he loves it and so do I. I agree the hair can get out of control. xoxox to all the pups!!

I do times 2! Our boy is named Puggy (I initially wanted a pug but DH refused to have small dogs), he is my first baby (turning 9 in March). Our girl is named Molly, she'll be 4 in June.

Oh Shaved!? I will definitely have to look into that. I always thought it would make them look really strange? I am definitely sweeping our house about 4 times a week and each time I have a pile of doggy fur the size of a small dog, it's ridiculous.

I have an 11 month old named Ratchet. I don't mind the shedding too much. I have a Dyson! Stick out tongue

We vaccum every other day, but we make it a game with him. He runs around the house and barks at the vaccum. It's hysterical!
