Hi Tracie !
I just saw your post below, and YES ... I had the babies, lol!!
Here are some deets, since you asked : )
I was scheduled for Thursday, January 20th (38 weeks, 1 day) but they had other plans!
I spent 4 plus hours in L & D on Wednesday, 01/13. My OB sent me
over to monitor the babies and my BP ... they believed I may have been
developing pre-e. I came home with directions for a 24 hr urine test and
plans for multiple follow up appointments at the hospital, peri, and
OB. I was home no longer than 15 minutes when I starting leaking fluid.
It ended up being a tear in baby A's sac. Spoke with the docs and they
told me to come into L & D if it didn't stop or if the flow
increased (since they had just spent the last 4 hrs monitoring the babes
and the flow was more of a slow trickle). I went to bed and figured I
would wake up if things got worse. Got Matteo ready the next morning,
called in the reinforcements, and headed to the hospital fully expecting
to deliver. That was Friday, 01/14 and I had made it to 37 weeks, 2 days.
Baby A (on the right) is Giovanni Lucio -- he was born at 2:04pm, weighing 6lb. 11 oz.
Baby B -- (on the left) is Francesca Natalia -- she was born at 2:05pm, weighing 5lb. 9 oz.
Thanks for the congrats. We're all trying to adjust here. I'm mostly lavishing Matteo with my attention. He seems to be doing OK, but I'm worried about any possible jealousy. We had newborn pics scheduled for this morning, but my photographer postponed because of this freaking apocalyptic snow we're getting in NY!
Now that G and F are here, I will be emailing you because I have a little more of *something* that I want to share with you : D (assuming you want it.) I just wish you were in a place where I didn't have to offer : (
