. I was just wondering what anyone else plans to do as far as memory keeping. My plan is one baby book of the first year and one quilt of baby clothes. The family photo albums can just be split up when they are older and my husband and I are gone. Anyone else have other ideas?
Re: baby books/scrapbooks
I like the idea of a quilt of baby clothes. That will make a nice keepsake for Baby when s/he is older.
I still have all of dd's clothes. I plan to keep them incase we have another girl or I can sell / donate them... but I have been thinking of keeping one or two of the cutest frilly dresses and framing them in a shadow box. If we have more kids we can do the same with them and hang them side by side in the hallway or something. I got the idea from the movie, "The Other Sister."
I made a scrapbook-style baby book. I started while pregnant, and included space for writing in all the information you find in regular baby books, and blank spaces for photos. I have hand and footprints from when dd was 2 weeks old, framed and hanging over her crib. I took scrapbook paper to the hospital and asked the nurse to please make me extra footprints when she was making prints for the hospital, so that I can have them in my scrapbook.
