Did you roll over the wall paper with that thingy that puts little holes in the wallpaper? That helps some of the liquid get behind the paper. I have no advised for the remover solution, but be careful with the thingy that makes the holes. You have to use it lightly. We did it before and it left zillions of tiny holes in the drywall. Whoops!

My friend is renovating a house in Portland. She had a lot of wallpaper to remover so she bought a wallpaper steamer. Said it was the best $$ she ever spent-and it helped her remove laminate off her hardwood floors.

We had a wallpaper "infested" house when we moved into this non updated 1940's cape a couple of years ago. It was awful and this stuff was a godsend. Good luck!

I peeled off the outer layer (the part with the image on it). Then for the glue/paper layer and all of the bits left on the wall, I used uncomfortably hot water and rags. Wet the walls big time and let it sit for a minute...Then take a plastic putty knife and scrape away. We had some nasty wallpaper under paint in this house and it came right off.
I have used a steamer in the past. And burnt myself:( I think the hot water works best.
I have used a steam iron to remove wallpaper...works like a charm.
Use it on the highest steam possible, and put a washcloth between the iron and the wall. You may have to leave the iron on there for a little while, but it peels right off.
This WILL ruin your iron, most likely, but your wall will be squeaky clean.
