  Maybe it's not BLACK MOLD black mold?  It sure looks like it, though.  Really, I am about ready to just move to France right now, never mind replenishing our savings before we go.  Jeez.

  You guys should all move here!  It's so dry we have to run a humidifier constantly and when it rains the trails are dusty a half hour later!

  Ick! Glad you are just renting and its someone else's problem!!!! If i could move to France (or anywhere in Europe) I would keep my bags packed and sitting byt the front door!

  This note scares me Amy.  I hope by this you mean that that Rom is on the phone telling the owner to come over and have this professionally taken care of pronto, instead of Rom is cleaning the mess up.  My DH (who works with all sorts of toxic and deadly chemicals) hates to deal with mold.  It gets in your lungs and does all sorts of crazy stuff, not good.  I don't want to scare you but you need to get our of the house with M, all day, and get some fresh air.  The owner needs to react very quickly, tell him you are pregnant and the leak and moldy wall needs to be bleached/washed/treated, replaced, etc ASAP.  He cannot take his time with this.  This pisses me off (as you can see-LOL) ... and BTW - if you are inclined to do so, this is a definite lease breaker.

  oh and another BTW - d@mn, now I have to go buy me some croissants!

  Don't worry, Bea, I mean that Rom called the owner.  He hasn't gotten back to us yet, though.

  I've heard awful things about black mold.  Is it all black mold, or is there one particular type that's bad, and the rest are just, well, moldy?
