I feel more comfortable posting here... than asking my prof,
but I am taking a CNA class, and we have to have a drug test. I take Clonazapem (sp?) at night sometimes for sleep/anxiety and was wondering if that was going to show up in my drug panel. I would rather not have to get in to it with the teacher if possible, but also don't want to have to mess with failing a drug test over this and then getting a note ect...
anyone know if this will make a difference?
Re: Medication and drug testing Q
Depends what they are testing for. If you come into the ER, benzodiazepines (Valium, Ativan, Clonopin, etc) are something they routinely test for. My DH has failed a drug test for work before (he's on liver #4, thus lots of meds), and as long as he had an active prescription and was under the care of physician, it wasn't an issue. Usually there is a section on the paperwork where you can "claim" anything that you have taken in a certain amount of time (RX or otherwise). And, I'm also a pharmacist in a hospital
