Ever felt like you're 13 again? (funny story)

Soooo....I'm traveling with my boss (a male) and a male co-worker. Aaaaaaand I start my period. Big time. I never really know when to expect mine to come because I am so irregular, and I had ZERO symptoms before this one came. I have nothing with me. At all. So I run to the bathroom. They have a machine...but it's broken. So I make do with my current resources. I couldn't get to a store. The gift shop had NOTHING in it. I was stuck. (We are out in the middle of the mountains). My boss rented the car and I couldn't drive it (company policy). I asked if we could go to walmart (or anywhere) so I could pick up some contact solution and decongestant that I forgot at home, thinking I could also grab some products while I was there, and my oh so helpful co-worker tells me I can have his extra bottle of contact solution. (Who carries an extra bottle of contact solution with them!?!?) and my boss says he has decongestant. Greeeeeeeaaaaat.

So we had a meeting in a different hotel the next day and I checked their bathroom. They had a working machine. I cleaned it out. Literally. I asked the front desk to change a five for me in quarters. Indifferent I stuffed about 20 tampons in my laptop case that day. The cleaning staff (who were in there) and my co-workers in the conference room, must have thought I was nuts for taking my laptop case to the bathroom. I didn't care, i was desperate. LOL!

Wow! That definitely sounds like something out of a tv show! You are totally making the most out of the situation and doing the best you can. Way to be resourceful!

Also, reminded me once of when DH came to Cali with me (before we were married) and I needed to buy tampons and we were at the grocery store. I sent him to get a few things while I tried to discreetly check out before he came back. He definitely came back while I was in the checkout line, tampons out and everything. It totally wasn't a big deal, but for about ten seconds I felt embarrassed (mostly because I was trying to be sneaky, I think!)
