Question from a lurker....

I am on my third cycle of Clomid, and I had my progesterone level checked yesterday. Just got the results 11.5. The nurse said everything looks good and they look for anything over 10. What are your experiences? Thanks ladies!

How many DPO are you? I was told anything over 10 indicates ovulation but on a medicated cycle they like to see over 15. Unmedicated my level was 12-15 and medicated it was 33.

That was what I was afraid of. I thought it sounded low. 8 dpo per FF.

Oh ok well you can always call tomorrow to ask. I always feel better sometimes if i hear from a Dr.

Hi WI-mommy I ditto c&n, my RE likes to see it above 15 on a medicated cycle. What dose were you on? Can you up your dosage maybe?

My first two cycles were 50 and this one was 100. My OB will only do a max of 3 Clomid cycles. So if I am not KU this cycle, then she will start me on Metformin and Femara.

That does sound quite low for a medicated cycle at 8DPO. Mine was 23.3 on Clomid. Before clomid, it was between 1.2-7.5. If you O'd on Clomid, maybe it's a low progesterone problem. In which case, they could put you on prog supps.

Hi hon! That is low per my RE's scale...like PPs said I'd try to talk to your RE. Good luck!!

Did you have an ultrasound mid-cycle to see how many follies you had? Maybe you only had one, thus the lower progesterone? I'm just guessing, but it makes sense that the reason the like the higher numbers on medicated cycles is because they are trying to get multiple follies? Now I'm curious. Maybe I can find out from Dr. Google...
