What age do you think it's not ok or what age do you think you're going to stop?

i don't think there is a specific age - i think once they really start to notice things and it makes me uncomfortable -then it will stop.... for now- Griffin doesn't care if i'm naked - doesn't mention it, etc... so not an issue.

I think it's on a case by case basis.

Ella is already noticing boobies and other specifics but it makes me uncomfortable because I'm self conscious in general, so we rarely ever did it before, but we stopped when she was about 15 months I think? If I weren't so self conscious, I probably would still do it every once in a blue moon I guess.

And I know this is probably going to get my head ripped off, but I think it's on a gender basis. If Ella were a boy, maybe I wouldn't do it as long as I would a girl (this is presuming I was carefree about it in the first place)

I think it depends on the child and the parent. I should be self conscious about walking around nude at home, but I'm not one bit. I'm totally ok with showering with Eli. On my day off it is the only way I get a shower. I love taking baths and sometimes Eli will beg to jump in the tub to play, and I'm ok with it. It isn't ackward as of now so I'm ok with it, he just wants someone to play in the tub with.

I agree.

But I am married to a European and they are much more relaxed with the human body. My DH and his family still see each other naked frequently and they think nothing of it. I haven't seen my mother or father naked since I don't know when (and what I remember was an accident). Clash of two cultures for sure. We will probably be something in the middle.

No idea. I don't think him noticing our bodies (both DH and I bathe/shower with him) is necessarily cause to stop, though. He still nurses, so breasts aren't an issue, and seeing DH's penis is a good introduction to talking about his own body, I think. I guess it'll be a matter of when I get uncomfortable, rather than what's "appropriate".

I'm not sure actually. I think if Katen were a boy I would stop now. Since she's a girl I think we can do it a bit longer.

I just took a shower with Katen the other day because she needed a bath but Ana didn't. I could not keep a straight face when she said, "What's that mom? Fur?" LOL!!!

I am still fine with showering with Ethan, I am not sure when we will stop, but I am sure I will know when it is time.

What is more an issue is nightime wakenings! I tend to sleep nude and I hate to sit in his room nude and rock him from a nightmare! lol

The trouble with showering with your toddler is that their line of sight is smack dab in your crotch (if you're short like me).

We stopped the first time Dylan pointed at that area and asked me where my penis was.

I have no problem reiterating the whole "boys have penises and girls have vaginas" thing but it's a bit much when he's standing there staring at yours in the process.

They do both still see me nude though.

That's no biggie to me. It's not right there in their faces in a small space and I'm usually hauling butt trying to get dressed.

DD still showers with Dad. She pays no attention to the fact that he's different. He'll stop when she notices, but until then, she is just all about washing her own hair, so we aren't worried.
