Curious...Moms of 2

Did you feel that was easier/harder to go from no kids to one LO or from one LO to 2 LOs?  I am just curious.  We had such a rough start with Evan, that I can only imagine this time will be easier, but I was wondering what other's experiences were. From about 6 to 8 weeks on, he has been the easiest baby ever, just the beginning was tough with him being so sick and all of the general adjustments of being new parents.

  • No comparison, bringing home Bri went so much better than bringing home Ty.  But our experience with Ty was far from normal, so I don't know if it counts.

  • I obviously have no answer, but I am worried about brining home #2.  DD was such an easy baby, and still is, that everyone says DS will be a terror.  DH and I are both from 2 sibling girl/boy families - and both moms say that if the boys would have been first born, they would have been only children.  Not sure of that's because they're boys, or because they were second born?
  • Mentally harder the 1st time. Physically harder the 2nd time.

  • Much harder to go to 2 kids, and I had a 4th degree tear with my first baby.  I am a SAHM and I am just constantly pulled in two directions.  My 3 year old doesn't nap, so I never, ever get a break.  It is just tough, I don't have enough hands!
  • For me it was definitely harder to go from 1 to 2!  Justin was still pretty young when Dylan was born so he still wasn't able to do a lot on his own at that point.  Took a good three months or so to get into a groove.

This is what I was thinking would be the case.
