Success after IF

Endo surgery Monday

So I am having surgery for my endometriosis on Monday. It sucks and I have a fair chance of having a hysterectomy if things look really bad in there. Not in my plans since DH and I want one more.

It's really stressful because, to be honest, everyone is worried about themselves instead of how I am dealing with this. MIL is worried about how soon I can take care of my kids again so she doesn't have to (maybe that's not how she means it but every time I mention my surgery she asks me about the recovery, etc.)  and even though it isn't his fault, DH is having to deal with how to get off so he can be with me. It's TOTAL BS that he can't have off to take care of me. His department is cool with it and is pulling for him but he's currently rotating in another department that is full of a$$faces. And of course he's freaking out about how to work it out.

Not to mention the fact that I am a little freaked.

Thanks for listening, guys.

  • Oh my.  I will certainly be thinking of you.  Sorry it seems everyone is forgetting whose feelings matter the most right now.  I hope everything goes well.

  • It's totally understandable that you are freaked out. I hope everything works out with DH and your MIL so you don't have anything else to worry about on top of the surgery. Sending good thoughts that the surgery goes well and the hysterectomy is not necessary.

  • Oh, that's not fair at all -- you have more than enough to worry about.

I really hope that it doesn't come to a hysterectomy, and I hope DH and MIL are able to deal with their issues and support you.
