i am no stranger to cutting favorite names off my list just because they don't go well with my last name but the name Miller is one i can't seem to let go of. our last name sounds like Saunders so it's not that rhyme-y but is it too much -er sound?
i know many of you won't like the name but it's a family name and now that i've given dd a surname name, i feel like i'm stuck in that pattern.
also, do you think it's going to get really popular in the near future? i'm still not sure what i think about that.
thanks!
Re: -er name with -ers last name?
I think the two names work well. If you like it go for it.
I think it sounds ok, probably not my first pick though. I also agree, you are not stuck with the name pattern yet.

We did the same
thanks, everyone! i have definitely cut out all names that begin or end with S sounds. i don't think that i have to go with surname names, it's just that all of the other first names now sound too informal or different with her name and i really want them to all go together somewhat.
i appreciate the feedback!
I think it's always a case by case thing with rhyming & alliteration, and I think this one sounds fine.
I'm actually still considering the name Casper even with our LN being Carter. It just doesn't sound bad or hard to say to me at all, and my family (who would gladly tell me otherwise) agrees. I'm still having a hard time deciding for sure, but I just can't let it go. Other -er names sound bad with our LN, but this one just doesn't to me.
