My husband got me a really interesting book for my birthday that I wanted to share with everyone
Origins: How the Nine Months Before Birth Shape the Rest of Our Lives has been, easily, the most interesting book I've read since college. It is written by Annie Murphy Paul, a magazine journalist, whose writing style is smooth and anecdotal. She talks about how the things we do on the 'outside' may affect our growing babies. She cites doctors, anthropologists, epidemiologists, and other reputable sources.
As a biology/anthropology major in college, I love this type of stuff, but I think anyone could pick up this book and get pulled in. Check out the link above; it goes to Amazon and you can check out the first chapter there for free.
Anyone else read some awesome books lately?

Yep! Pregnancy Sucks For Men by Joanne and Jeff Kines ( https://www.amazon.com/Pregnancy-Sucks-Men-Miracle-Miserable/dp/159337156X )
It's actually pretty helpful. Tells me where to rub DW so that she doesn't hurt anymore
and other useful facts.
I do not need more mommy guilt, so I think I'll pass on that.
The last one I liked was "The Big Book of Birth". I just finished Ina May's Guide to Childbirth, but didn't like it. And now I'm reading "Easy Labor"... but again, just don't really like it.

I felt a little mommy-guilt when I read the chapter about food, but overall, it just made me realize that sometimes I eat a little too much junk
. So far, most of Origins hasn't been to guilt-inducing
